Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account?

No. There is no sign-up and no sign-in. Open the app and start logging decisions immediately.

Where is my data stored?

Locally on your device, in iOS's standard storage. Nothing is uploaded to any server. If you delete the app or factory-reset your device, your data is gone unless you exported it.

How do I back up or export my data?

Settings → Export as CSV. The app generates a CSV file on-device and passes it to iOS's share sheet. From there you can email it to yourself, save to Files / iCloud Drive, AirDrop, or open it in any compatible app.

How do I edit or delete a decision?

Open the Decisions tab. Tap any row to open the edit sheet. Swipe right to edit, swipe left to delete. The edit sheet also has a Delete button.

How do I set a monthly quota?

Open the Quotas tab. The top card is your overall monthly quota. Tap it to adjust. Below, each theme has its own row — tap any theme to set a per-theme target. Set to 0 to disable.

What is Cloud AI?

An optional feature in Settings. When enabled, a ✨ button appears next to text fields in the New Decision sheet. Tap it and the text from that specific field is sent to a third-party language model provider (DeepSeek, Gemini, or Anthropic) which returns an improved version. Cloud AI is off by default. When off, no text leaves the device.

Does the app work offline?

Yes. All core features work in airplane mode. The only network requests are the small routing-state fetch on launch/resume and the optional Cloud AI calls — both are non-essential and the app keeps working if they fail.

How do I reset everything?

Settings → Reset all data. You'll be asked to confirm. This deletes all decisions, quotas, and preferences from this device. The action cannot be undone — export a CSV first if you might want the data later.
